Reminders:

• Please call the management office to schedule an appointment to make changes to your family composition or family income. This includes the loss of income, the start of a new job, an increase in the number of hours worked, a decrease in the number of hours worked, or an annual pay increase. Income also includes social security benefits, retirement pensions, and supplemental security Income (SSI), self-employment, bills that are paid for you, or money received from family members or friends.
  
  
• Don't forget to mail rent payments and payments for maintenance charges to P.O. Box 677, Warrior, Alabama 35180. Make out your money order payable to: Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA)-not payable to P.O. Box 677.
  
  
• If you need to see the Housing Manager about other matters or issues (other than your recertification or interim), you must call the office to make an appointment. Please just don't drop in. To schedule an appointment, you must call the management office prior to arriving at the office.

Community Service:

Community Service hours are due every month. Not every 3-12 months. 8 Hours per Month. Your lease will not be renewed if you have not fulfilled all 96 hours of community service. Falsifying hours is a lease violation and could lead to termination of your subsidy. If you are a community service participant, please contact Ms. Woolridge @ 205-849-9605 to check your status.

All residents required to do community service must turn in their completed forms each month between the 1st and 9th of the month-for the previous month. For example, community service hours completed in October must be turned in to the management office between the 1st and 9th of November. You can deliver your forms by walk-in, or email to: cduncan@jcha.com or swoolridge2@jcha.com. Anyone needing additional forms can pick them up at the management office.
