Summary of Job Duties
Responsible for managing assigned caseload for the voucher program. Conduct interim and annual re-examinations in accordance with established procedures. Enter information in computer and process recertification, including verifying income and other data in accordance with established procedures and regulations. Track inspection information and perform follow-up as needed. Maintain files and records. Schedule appointments for annual re-examinations, generate appointment letters, and conduct interviews. Receive information from clients regarding family composition, income, etc., verify, and make interim adjustments based on information. Process port-in & port-out vouchers in accordance with established procedures. Assist in taking and processing applications for waiting list, as needed. Assist in processing applications following orientation, make initial eligibility determination, issue voucher, and prepare HAP contract, if appropriate. Assist in the operation of the HCV Program by responding to inquiries by clients and landlords, referring clients to human services organizations, as appropriate, answering questions regarding program rules, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree in business or related field plus 2 years of work experience that involved dealing with the public and using a computer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer Bachelor's degree, experience in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, public housing, or property management, and skill in using Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Certification as HCV Specialist (Must be obtained within 1 year of employment)
    • Valid Driving License
    • Ability to be insured under the Authority's vehicle policy
